We also go by the name of Sandy Croquet.
Formed in 1911, we are now the biggest croquet club in Victoria, with approximately 100 members.
And our grounds are perhaps the most beautiful too as our club is located in the midst of the indigenous coastal vegetation of Sandringham Foreshore Reserve. Our courts are fringed by impressive examples of tea-tree, banksia, she-oak and black wattle and often one can hear the lapping of the waves on Sandringham Beach.
Our club has three full-size competition standard croquet courts, a practice court and a club house.
Of the various forms of croquet, Sandy Croquet plays Golf Croquet.
This is the most inclusive form of the game, allowing maximum participation.
With three courts and double banking we can have 24 players participating at any one time.
We have certain times set aside for social play club members only. Those times are detailed below. Members and non-members (as guests) can use the facilities outside those times, except when official matches are being played, such as tournaments or pennant, or when work is taking place on the grounds. Green fees for non-members is $10 per visit.
Our club policy on club days is "next to arrive is next on court". Thus, if one person is waiting to play when your arrive, you both go on court. Or if there is a group of three on one of the courts, you are entitled to walk out and join them.
Golf Croquet Social Play Times: (Three courts available)
94B Beach Road Sandringham. The club is situated on the bay side of Beach Road, next to B10 Car Park - opposite Abbott Street. Visitors who live outside Bayside need to pay to park there. However, there is ample free parking in local streets on the other side of Beach Road. The Club is less than a 10 minutes walk from Sandringham railway sation.

Coaching is available for Golf Croquet for new and existing members. The club has Victorian Croquet Association accredited coaches.
The club organises reqular social events including sausage sizzles, twilight happy hours and pizza and curry nights.
