Captain’s Report 23.10.26

Well it’s been a very successful week for our SE Metro Teams this week, with all teams recording wins.

Monday, 19^th October: Div 1 and 2 (Level play) played at Sandringham in lovely warm weather, recording close wins but quite exciting as the last games were the deciders, fortunately the Sandy teams prevailed.

Thursday’s Advantage teams both travelled, Dolphins to Lilydale and Sharks to Ringwood, and recorded wins also. Out of nine Advantage teams in the Competition, Sharks are currently in 2^nd position and Dolphins in 4^th.

Next week: Div 1 & 2 teams both travel to Mornington for their games on Monday, 26^th.

On Thursday, 29^th October, both teams are playing at Sandringham, so two courts will be used.Dolphins v Kew, and Sharks v Rebels.

Good luck to all team players - the competition is getting quite “exciting”!

Referees: Sandringham Croquet Club congratulates Tony Brand,David and Jill Budge, for passing their Referee examinations this week. This is quite a demanding exercise, with multiple online and practical sessions. Congratulations!

We also wish David and Jill good luck as they are off to compete at the Rich River Tournament this weekend.
